Hey everyone! My name is Chandler Poczciwinski and I am so excited to be joining the great team at All WNY! I have always loved the great things that All WNY does for the local Buffalo music scene so it is a dream come true to now be a part of it.

Before I start flooding you with local concert recaps, album reviews and photo galleries, it might be a good idea to tell you a little bit about myself. I’ll start where my passion for music first took root. Back in the summer of 2013, I attended the Zumiez Couch Tour in the parking lot of the Galleria Mall. I was mainly there to see the skate demo from the Chocolate/Girl skateboard companies, however, there was also a few bands performing at the event. One of the bands was Rochester’s Polar Bear Club who went on stage while I was waiting around to be picked up. Even though I didn’t actually stand at the stage to watch their set, I couldn’t help but listen from a distance. Their sound was nothing like the mix of Black Eyed Peas, T-Pain and Eminem that currently occupied my iPod. This was so much better; it was heavy, aggressive and meaningful, I loved every second of it. I consider those few songs that I heard from a distance the major turning point in my life that has brought me to where I am today.

Well, enough about the past, let’s talk about where I am today. I am currently a sophomore accounting student at St. Bonaventure University in Olean. At school, I am the director of the production department at WSBU 88.3 The Buzz, and I am the producer for the punk music blog, The Uncharted Hour. I am also the lead guitar player for the local pop-punk band, Among The Wolves. Even though my school is about an hour and a half away from Buffalo, I am always making trips to Buffalo and other cities around me to feed my addiction for live music.

For the past year, my life has revolved around researching up and coming bands from all around the country. It has become my passion to relentlessly search the internet to find the best talent that few people have heard, and bring them the attention that they deserve. After searching all over for great new acts, I realized that I really don’t have to look much further than our local Buffalo scene. We have so many great acts here locally that put out great music and play even better shows. I am so excited to document all the musical madness that we have here in Buffalo for All WNY. Like I said earlier, from me, you can expect concert recaps, album reviews and photo galleries all from bands right here in Buffalo! I would just like to give one last big thank you to All WNY for this amazing opportunity. Until next time, go see a show and support your local music scene.

All WNY is made possible thanks to coffee and sleep deprivation.
