FALCONER — A 19-year-old Jamestown man was charged Saturday with driving while ability impaired by drugs following a motor vehicle crash on I-86. 


According to New York State Police, Troopers responded to a report of a one-car motor vehicle accident. Investigation revealed that Codie Swartzhad been driving east on I-86 when his vehicle exited the roadway and crashed in the ditch. Swartz was placed under arrest after failing several SFSTs and was transported to SP Jamestown where he was evaluated by a Chautauqua County Drug Recognition Expert who determined that he was under the influence of marijuana. Swartz provided a urine sample, was processed and released with tickets directing him to appear in the town of Ellicott Court on a later date. Swartz was uninjured in the accident.
