LATHAM — Major General Ray Shields, the Adjutant General for the State of New York, announces the promotion of members of the New York Army National Guard in recognition of their capability for additional responsibility and leadership.

  • Jonah Hausrath from Lockport, N.Y. and assigned to the 105th Military Police Company received a promotion to the rank of Specialist.
  • Matthew Link from Gates, N.Y. and assigned to the 222nd Military Police Company received a promotion to the rank of Staff Sergeant.
  • Thomas Bland from Burt, N.Y. and assigned to the 27th Infantry Brigade Combat Team received a promotion to the rank of Staff Sergeant.
  • Drew Gansz from Rochester, N.Y. and assigned to the 42nd Infantry Division Band received a promotion to the rank of Sergeant.
  • James Brennan from Rochester, N.Y. and assigned to the Company A, 2-108th Infantry received a promotion to the rank of Sergeant.
  • Sheldyn Dysard from Albion, N.Y. and assigned to the Company D (Forward Support Company, Reconnaissance and Target Acquisition), 427th Brigade Support Battalion received a promotion to the rank of Private First Class.
  • Charles Phillips from Jamestown, N.Y. and assigned to the Company D (Forward Support Company, Reconnaissance and Target Acquisition), 427th Brigade Support Battalion received a promotion to the rank of Sergeant First Class.
  • Paul Woodward from Cheektowaga, N.Y. and assigned to the Company D (Forward Support Company, Reconnaissance and Target Acquisition), 427th Brigade Support Battalion received a promotion to the rank of Specialist.
  • Shawnee Gaudino from Buffalo, N.Y. and assigned to the Combat Engineer Company B, 152nd Brigade Engineer Battalion received a promotion to the rank of Private First Class.
  • Shawn Poeller from Lockport, N.Y. and assigned to the Combat Engineer Company B, 152nd Brigade Engineer Battalion received a promotion to the rank of Staff Sergeant.
  • Michael Aquilina from Webster, N.Y. and assigned to the Company D, 3-126th Aviation received a promotion to the rank of Staff Sergeant.
  • Aaron Hart from Kenmore, N.Y. and assigned to the Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 2-101 Cavalry (Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition) received a promotion to the rank of Sergeant.
  • Kelly Erbland from Fairport, N.Y. and assigned to the Medical Command received a promotion to the rank of Captain.
  • Zachary Marafioti from Henrietta, N.Y. and assigned to the Troop A, 2-101 Cavalry (Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition) received a promotion to the rank of Sergeant.
  • Michael Kelly from Buffalo, N.Y. and assigned to the Troop C, 2-101 Cavalry (Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition) received a promotion to the rank of Staff Sergeant.
