TAMPA, Fla. — The Buffalo Sabres took a 10-game win streak with them to the Sunshine state Thursday night, but could not notch an 11th straight win to break the team record. With a late third-period goal, the Lightning bested the Sabres, 5-4.

Cedric Paquette netted the winner with 5:41 left in the third period to put the Lightning ahead both in the game and in the league standings.

Sam Reinhart scored twice for Buffalo while Zemgus Girgensons and Tage Thompson also tallied. Carter Hutton made 32 saves as the Sabres were outshot 37-22 overall.

The Sabres next play the Florida Panthers tonight.
