STAFF REPORTS

A 65-year-old Falconer man was charged with Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd Degree, Resisting Arrest, and Disorderly Conduct on November 29, 2018 following a routine traffic stop.

According to New York State Troopers, a vehicle in which Ronald Eddy was the passenger was pulled over on Gerry-Levant Road for a traffic violation. Eddy exited the vehicle and attempted to prevent the Trooper from speaking with the driver. Eddy refused multiple instructions to cease his conduct, continuing to act belligerent and interfere with the traffic stop, at which point the Trooper attempted to place him under arrest. Eddy physically resisted being handcuffed but was eventually taken into custody. Eddy was processed at SP Jamestown, arraigned in the town of Ellicott Court and released on his own recognizance.

Eddy is scheduled to appear in the town of Ellicott Court on a later date to answer the charges. The driver was issued a traffic ticket.
