A winter weather advisory is in effect throughout much of Western New York through 6 p.m. The National Weather Service calls for snow and blowing snow with additional accumulation of 1 to 3 inches and wind gusts as high as 35 mph.
The winter weather advisory has been declared for Niagara, Orleans, Northern Erie, and Genesee counties.
