A 28-year-old Wellsville man was charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property on November 19, 2018 following a call to police about vehicle break-ins.
According to New York State Troopers, officers responded to multiple reports of vehicle break-ins on Wightman Road in the town of Wellsville. Their investigation ultimately revealed Shawn E. Washington to be in possession of items that had been taken from the vehicles.
Washington was arrested and arraigned in Wellsville Town Court and remanded to the Allegany County Jail without bail. He is due to reappear in Wellsville Town Court later this month.
