“New Paltz is a very special place,” said SUNY New Paltz field hockey senior, and SAAC President Samantha Ackerman. “The community outside of our campus is wonderful and filled with many kind people. All of us student athletes look forward to the annual leaf rake because we love to provide a helping hand to the community. It is important we take time to give back when we are playing our sport. Some of them are our biggest fans too!”
