A 44-year-old Canaseraga man was charged with DWI on November 8, 2018 following the discovery of an unresponsive driver stopped in the road.

According to New York State Troopers, officers responded to a report of a vehicle stopped in the roadway with an unresponsive driver behind the wheel on County Route 32 in the town of Almond. Upon arrival, the Troopers observed that Gregory L. Beecher was exhibiting obvious signs of intoxication. He failed standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. He was arrested and transported to SP Amity, where a chemical breath test revealed him to have a 0.15% BAC.

Beecher was released with appearance tickets for Almond Town Court, where he is due to return in December.
