LATHAM — Major General Ray Shields, the Adjutant General for the State of New York, announces the promotion of members of the New York Army National Guard in recognition of their capability for additional responsibility and leadership.
- Samantha Antolik from North Tonawanda and assigned to the Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 2-101 Cavalry (Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition) received a promotion to the rank of Staff Sergeant.
- Joshua Aponte from Buffalo and assigned to the C Troop, 2-101 Cavalry (Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition) received a promotion to the rank of Sergeant.
- Aaron Brown from Rochester and assigned to the 222nd Military Police Company received a promotion to the rank of Private First Class.
- Christopher Candelaria from Buffalo and assigned to the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2-108th Infantry received a promotion to the rank of Captain.
- Cristian Cirino from Buffalo and assigned to the C Troop, 2-101 Cavalry (Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition) received a promotion to the rank of Private First Class.
- Lauren Cook from Cheektowaga and assigned to the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 102nd Military Police Battalion received a promotion to the rank of Sergeant.
