A 43-year-old Jamestown man was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana on November 3, 2018 following a routine traffic stop.

According to New York State Troopers, during a traffic stop in the town of Carrollton, officers conducted a probable cause search of Blake D. Smith’s vehicle, which located nearly 35 grams of cocaine and nearly 39 grams of crack cocaine, along with a small quantity of marijuana.

Smith was arrested and arraigned in Allegany Town Court. He was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail without bail. He is due to appear in Carrollton Town Court later this month.
