The Amherst Open Government Advisory Board will hold a meeting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, at the Amherst. Municipal Building, 5583 Main St., Williamsville.

The two candidates on the ballot for Amherst town clerk, Fran Spoth, and Jeffrey Zeplowitz, will be present at the meeting.

The candidates will answer questions from board members and the public. According to the Advisory Board, this is an opportunity for residents to ask questions and to see and hear what the candidates have to say.

The Open Government Advisory Board was created by the Town Board to address issues regarding transparency, collaboration and citizen participation in town government.

The members of the Open Government Advisory Board include Marc Cohen, Dr. Roy DeFrancis, Jaclyn Mazzone, Ronald Shubert, James Tricoli, Paul Wolf, Phil Meyer, and Ed McKee.
