A 21-year-old Ithaca man was charged with DWAI – Drugs and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana on October 12, 2018 following a routine traffic stop.
According to New York State Troopers, Nicholas Fagnilli was pulled over on I-86 in Stow for failing to move over for an emergency vehicle on the shoulder of the road. While speaking to Fagnilli, the Troopers smelled marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle and placed Fagnilli under arrest after failing several SFSTs. A bag containing 13 grams of marijuana and a pipe containing marijuana residue were also found in Fagnilli’s possession. Fagnilli was transported to SP Jamestown where he was evaluated by a Chautauqua County Drug Recognition Expert and then processed.
Fagnilli was issued tickets and is scheduled to appear in the town of North Harmony Court next month.
