A 24-year-old Randolph woman was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree on October 15, 2018 following a police check of a suspicious vehicle.

According to New York State Troopers, at approximately 2:30am, officers stopped at the Poland town barn to check on a lone vehicle with several occupants, one of them being Taylor Wright. While speaking to the occupants, the Troopers smelled marijuana emanating from inside of the vehicle. A search of the vehicle and its occupants revealed that Wright was in possession of two straws containing heroin residue and four grams of marijuana.

Wright was taken into custody, transported to SP Jamestown and processed. Wright was issued appearance tickets and both she and Mercer are scheduled to appear in the town of Poland Court next month.
