A 23-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman, both of Elmira, were charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon – Loaded Firearm and Criminal Possession of a Weapon – Defaced for Concealment on October 12, 2018 following a routine traffic stop.

According to New York State Troopers, during a probable cause search subsequent to a traffic stop on Interstate 86 West in the town of Cuba, officers discovered a defaced .22 rifle along with three loaded .22 magazines, as well as a small quantity of marijuana. 

Both Rashad R. Graham and Tania M. Shaver were arrested and arraigned in Cuba Town Court, where they were remanded to the Allegany County Jail. They are scheduled to reappear in Cuba Town Court in later this month.
