GRAND ISLAND, N.Y. — Neil Dashkoff, M.D., medical director of the Niagara County cardiac catheterization laboratory at The Heart Center of Niagara, will give a free presentation on cardiac health, Wednesday, October 10 at Elderwood at Grand Island, 2850 Grand Island Boulevard. His talk, titled “Prevention, Symptoms and Treatment of a Heart Attack,” will begin at 2 p.m.

A prominent Western New York cardiologist and clinical professor of medicine at UB’s Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences,Dr. Dashkoff is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. He is a member of numerous professional societies including the American College of Cardiology, Society for Cardiac Angiography, New York Cardiological Society and American Heart Association.

The Niagara County cardiac catheterization laboratory at The Heart Center of Niagara is a unique community collaboration between Catholic Health, Erie County Medical Center, Kaleida Health and Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.  The facility hosts such procedures as coronary angiography, stent placement and balloon angioplasty and maintains 24/7/365 capabilities to perform emergency and scheduled elective procedures and interventions.
