A 25-year-old Freedom man was charged with DWI on September 20, 2018 following a routine traffic stop.
According to New York State Troopers, officers stopped Franklin L. Cassety on State Route 16 in the Town of Machias for failing to keep right. Cassety was placed under arrest after failing SFST’s and transported to SP Machias for processing. Cassety recorded a .08% BAC.
Cassety was issued tickets returnable to the Town of Machias for September 2018.
