A 21-year-old East Amherst woman was charged with DWI on September 16, 2018 following a routine traffic stop.
According to New York State Troopers, officers responded to Route 60 in Gerry for a report of a southbound vehicle driving erratically. After observing traffic violations, the Troopers stopped the suspect vehicle and placed the driver, Leah Jones, under arrest after failing several SFSTs. Jones was transported to SP Jamestown where she provided a breath sample of .17. Jones was then processed, issued tickets for the town of Gerry Court and released.
Jones is scheduled to appear in the town of Gerry Court later in the month.
