This week’s featured show is Saturday’s 16th Annual Music Is Art Festival. Buffalo’s own Music Is Art Festival returns to its new home at Buffalo RiverWorks this Saturday, September 8th. After a number of years at Delaware Park, the made the move last year over to this new venue. Nobody was sure about the change, until it happened, and we all saw it was the perfect place to host Goo Goo Dolls bassist Robby Takac’s annual celebration of local music! Their vision is to enlighten and ignite a personal connection to the artistic merit and acceptance of all forms of music. Their mission is to help explore and reshape music’s cultural, social, and educational impact on our community. Music is Art is a not for profit (federal 501c3) organization. Throughout the year they provide support for schools, local bands, and musicians all throughout WNY. But, once a year they bring it all together into an all-day celebration. Buffalo RiverWorks will once again be overflowing with music, art, and festivities in every nook & cranny of its property. Tons of local artisans will be set up with their crafts. Hundreds of artists and bands will be strewn across all sorts of stages, corners, and silos. There’s even plenty of activites for the whole family to enjoy! Best of all, Music Is Art continues to be completely free to attend! We’ll see you there!!
