CANISIUS COLLEGE ATHLETICS
BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Canisius athletic department and Franco’s Pizza announced an agreement on Wednesday that Franco’s Pizza has agreed to become the “Official Pizza of Canisius Athletics.”
This new sponsorship agreement will allow Franco’s Pizza unprecedented access to the Canisius College campus community, with Canisius’ Student Life department ordering exclusively from Franco’s for all campus events. In addition, Franco’s Pizza will be sold at the concession stands at all Canisius home sporting events, and Golden Griffin varsity teams will purchase from Franco’s for postgame meals, when applicable.
“Franco’s has been an outstanding member of the Western New York business community for over 35 years, and we are excited to have them join our ever-expanding list of locally-based corporate partners,” Canisius associate athletic director John Maddock said. “A special thanks goes out to Walt Smietana from Franco’s and to our representatives at Van Wagner Sports for making this relationship a reality.”
