A 37-year-old Panama woman was charged with Theft of Services on August 21, 2018 following a call to police about possible theft of electricity.
According to New York State Troopers, officers responded to a residence in Panama for the complaint. Investigation revealed that a wire had been connected to the complainant’s electric box and was also connected to the neighbor’s electric box. After verifying with National Grid that the neighbor does not currently have service, the resident, Brigit Drake, was arrested.
Drake was processed at SP Jamestown, released with an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the town of Harmony Court next month.
