BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Toronto Blue Jays today announced that they have promoted Buffalo Bisons catcher Danny Jansen for his Major League debut. 
Jansen, a mid-season International League All-Star, hit .275 with 12 home runs and 58 RBI in 88 games with the Herd. Along with leading the team in average, home runs and RBI, he also topped all Herd hitters in doubles (21), extra-base hits (34), runs scored (45), walks (44) and on-base pct. (.390). A .315-hitter with runners in scoring position, Jansen has hit safely in 10 of his last 12 games with a .341 average and seven RBI since July 29.
