A 30 year old Jamestown man was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd Degree and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana on August 4, 2018 following a routine traffic stop.

According to New York State Troopers, David Taylor was pulled over for committing a traffic violation on Main Street in Randolph and while speaking to Taylor, the Troopers smelled marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. A search of Taylor and his vehicle revealed a marijuana cigarette and a grinder containing marijuana residue. A check of Taylor’s driving record revealed a total of seven suspensions.

Taylor was placed under arrest, issued traffic tickets and an appearance ticket returnable to the town of Randolph Court and released. An uninvolved third party with a valid driver license drove the vehicle from the scene.
