UNIVERSITY AT BUFFALO ATHLETICS


BUFFALO, N.Y.  Former University at Buffalo men’s basketball standout and Mid-American Conference Tournament MVP Wes Clark will continue his playing career in Italy as he has joined Happy Casa Brindisi based out of Brindisi, Apulia.  It plays in the first division of the Lega Basket Series. 
Clark, who won the Riley Wallace Award as the nation’s top transfer, played in the final 26 games of the season after becoming eligible in late December.  He was named the MAC Tournament Most Valuable Player after scoring 26 points in the MAC Championship game against Toledo.  Clark averaged 25.5 points per game in Buffalo’s two NCAA Tournament Games as he had 25 points and seven assists against Arizona and added 26 more points in his final game against Kentucky.  Clark ended his career with 1,015 points split between his time at Missouri and Buffalo.
Originally named New Basket Brandisi, Happy Casa became the title sponsor of the team through the 2020 season.  They are one 16 clubs in the Lega Basket Series.
The club is located in Brindisi, which is a city in the region of Apulia in southern Italy on the coast of the Adriatic Sea.
