OSWEGO, N.Y. — The Oswego State women’s swimming and diving team has been named a Scholar All-American team by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for the spring 2018 semester.

With a semester GPA of 3.43, the Lakers were one of 476 squads from the NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA to earn the honor. Teams must achieve a GPA of 3.00 or higher to qualify for the Scholar All-America Award.

Among the women recipients, Oswego was one of five SUNYAC teams to earn the distinction. Brockport, Fredonia, Geneseo and Oneonta also received the award.

The Lakers have frequently been recognized for their academic achievement. In 19 semesters over the last nine years, Oswego has earned the Scholar All-American status 16 times.

Oswego will look to continue its academic success as it returns to the classroom and the pool this fall.
