BUFFALO, N.Y. — Get ready Bisons fans…the biggest name in minor league baseball is joining the Herd.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. will soon be a Bison!
The Blue Jays have made it official. Toronto has announced that they are promoting their top prospect – and the top prospect in all of baseball – to the Buffalo Bisons on Tuesday, July 31 as the Herd host the Lehigh Valley IronPigs at Coca-Cola Field.
The son of the soon-to-be inducted Baseball Hall of Famer Vladimir Guerrero, Vladdy Jr. has taken the baseball world by storm after hitting .402 with 14 HR and 60 RBI in 61 games for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, despite being the youngest player in all of Double-A at just 19 years of age. If Guerrero had just 10 more plate appearances (he missed a little over a month on the disabled list), his average would qualify and be 45 points higher than any hitter in Minor League Baseball. His .671 slugging pct. would also top all minor league hitters by an astounding 54 points.
Now for the first time, the third baseman will test his skills against Triple-A pitching. TICKETS
See Vlad Jr. as a Bison THIS WEEK as the Herd hosts Lehigh Valley. The homestand begins with a Markdown Monday (TICKETS) on July 30 at 7:05 p.m. Then the action really picks up with Guerrero scheduled to join the team on Tuesday.

-We want to see Guerrero’s first swings with the Bisons and we know that you do to. So, we will open up the ballpark at a special time of 4:00 p.m. This will give fans holding a ticket to that night’s game the ability to also watch the team take batting practice on the field (weather dependent, subject to change). Ballpark concessions and the Consumer’s Pub at the Park will also be open to give fans the chance for a pre-game meal.
It’s also ‘Cotton Candy Day’ at the ballpark, so all bags of cotton candy during the game will be just $2.
Wednesday, Aug. 1 | 5:35 p.m. first pitch of Game 1 (GET TICKETS)
-A single-admission doubleheader means you get two games for the price of one. Gates open at 4:30 p.m. for the first of two, seven-inning contests. Be one off the first 2,000 fans in attendance and you’ll also receive a free life-sized Buster Bison Wall Sticker, compliments of Unifrax.
Thursday, Aug. 2 | 1:05 p.m. first pitch (GET TICKETS)
-Ballpark gates will open at the special time of 11:00 a.m. This is one of only two mid-week matinee games left in 2018, so take a half day from work or skip out altogether and catch baseball under the sun at Coca-Cola Field.
