PRESS RELEASE

A 29 year old Jamestown man was charged with Aggravated DWI on June 30, 2018 following several hit and run traffic accidents.

According to New York State Troopers, officers responded to a report of a vehicle that had caused multiple accidents and fled the scene of each. The suspect vehicle was located on Fairmount Avenue shortly after it had struck another vehicle head-on. Investigation revealed that Ramon Pando had been driving east in the westbound lane on Fairmount Avenue and although the other driver took evasive action, a collision occurred between the two vehicles. The occupants of the other vehicle were transported to UPMC Hospital in Jamestown for non-life threatening injuries. Pando was unable to perform SFSTs as he was unable to stand unsupported and was subsequently placed under arrest. Pando was transported to SP Jamestown where he provided a breath sample of .29.

Pando was then processed, arraigned in the town of Ellicott Court and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail. Pando was uninjured in the accident.
