This week’s featured show is WNY’s Music Scene Showcase 4 on Saturday at Sugar City.

A group of musicians from throughout Western New York has come together to with the purpose of highlighting and promoting the area’s original music scene. The organizers seek to increase awareness of the quality of original music in Western New York and have created a vehicle to expose the region’s music scene to a wider audience through compilation CDs, collaborative promotion, and a weekly podcast.

WNY’s Music Scene is an artist-run cooperative that serves to strengthen the local music scene through compilation CDs, playlists, and other forms of collaborative promotion; getting local music into the eyes, hands and ears of a greater audience. As such, this project is sustained by the artists and through contributions from people like you who support the local music scene. At the show we will be accepting donations to help cover the cost of producing the next installment in the compilation series and further our cause.
