WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressman Brian Higgins (NY-26) announced the Congress on Your Corner schedule for the month of June. Through the program, staff from Congressman Higgins’ office are available at satellite sites throughout the district to better serve the needs of constituents.

This event occurs during the annual Schiller Park Flag Day celebration.

Friday, June 15
9am-12pm
Lackawanna Community Resource Hub
Catholic Charities, 75 Caldwell Place, Lackawanna
This is a Lackawanna Community Resource Hub event. Several other agencies will be present including those providing services related to: housing, education, workforce development, health care, and transportation.

Tuesday, June 19
10am-12pm
Cheektowaga Community Collaborative Hub
2145 Old Union Road, Cheektowaga
This “Summer Kick-Off” picnic event, hosted by the Cheektowaga Community Hub, will feature over 30 service providers specializing in areas ranging from veteran services and youth programs to education and employment opportunities.

During Congress on Your Corner, residents have the opportunity to talk directly with someone from Congressman Higgins’ office about federal matters.  Issues discussed often include Social Security, veteran benefits or medals, passports, federal student aid or small business assistance.
