A 52 year old Warren, PA man was charged with Criminal Possession of Marijuana in the 5th Degree on June 1, 2018 after a routine traffic stop.

According to New York State Troopers, James Burk III was pulled over for committing a traffic violation on Water Street in Frewsburg and while speaking to Burk, the Troopers smelled marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. A search of Burk and his vehicle revealed two smoking devices containing marijuana residue and 40 grams of marijuana vegetation. Burk was placed under arrest, transported to SP Jamestown and processed.

Burk was then issued an appearance ticket and a traffic ticket and released, to appear in the town of Carroll Court later in the month.
