BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo Bisons today announced that RHP Sean Reid-Foley has been promoted to the Herd from Double-A New Hampshire. He will make his Triple-A debut for the Bisons today in the team’s 1:05 p.m. game against the Syracuse Chiefs.
A corresponding move will be made prior to the game.
Reid-Foley, the Blue Jays 2nd round pick in the 2014 First-Year Player Draft, has been one of the best pitchers at Double-A to begin the season. With New Hampshire, the 22-year old was 5-0 with a 2.03 ERA in eight starts with 52 strikeouts in only 44.1 innings of work. He ranks T2nd in the Eastern League in strikeouts (one off the league lead), 3rd in average against (.174), tied for 3rd in wins and 4th in ERA. Reid-Foley has not allowed more than two runs in any start this season and struck out 10 over six innings in a no-decision against Reading on May 2.
Reid-Foley is the Blue Jays #10 prospect by MLB.com. He spent the entire season last year with the Fisher Cats and was 10-11 with a 5.09 ERA in 27 starts.
