UNIVERSITY AT BUFFALO ATHLETICS

BUFFALON.Y. — A pair of former University at Buffalo football players have earned NFL Rookie Minicamp invites. Offensive lineman David Goldsby has been invited to work out with the Buffalo Bills and the Oakland Raiders. Nose tackle Chris Ford will work out with the Baltimore Ravens.
Goldsby, a transfer from Ellsworth Community College, started 20 games in his two seasons with the Bulls. The 6-4, 308-lb. Goldsby proved to be a versatile offensive lineman, starting four games at right guard and 12 games at right tackle for the Bulls. He will attend the Bills minicamp followed by the Raiders minicamp in early May.
Ford was a mainstay on the Buffalo defensive line since his sophomore season. The Medina, OH native started 30 games at nose tackle over his career. His career totals included 89 tackles, 2.5 sacks, seven tackles for loss and a fumble recovery. He will report to the Ravens’ minicamp on May 4.
This news comes on the heels of defensive end Demone Harris signing a free agent contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Saturday.
