PHILADELPHIA, P.A. — The Canisius rowing program continues its 2018 spring season on Saturday, as the Griffs participated at the 52nd Kerr Cup in Philadelphia, Pa. 

The Griffs’ first varsity eight consisting of Misa GambleMax McGuireSydney BichselBrooke StanleyJessica FabianShannon PritzkerTara FederowEmma Vicaretti and Alexandra Heinz reached the petite finals and placed second out of six boats in that heat with a time of 7:46.29.

“After a quick turnaround from the Cooper River Invitational, we were able to see five teams from our conference today at the Kerr Cup. We learned a lot about ourselves as a program today and are ready to move forward as we prepare for our only home race on April 29th.”

Canisius hosts its lone home regatta, the Black Rock Cup, on Sunday, April 29 at the West Side Rowing Club in Buffalo, N.Y. The regatta kicks-off at 9 a.m.
