UNIVERSITY AT BUFFALO ATHLETICS

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The University at Buffalo behind-the-scenes television series UB Football Insider: Training Camp Edition won an Emmy award for Sports: Daily or Weekly Program, the New York Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced on Saturday evening at the 61st Annual New York Emmy Awards at The Marriott Marquis in New York City.
UB Football Insider: Training Camp Edition was nominated for an Emmy in two categories, winning in the Sports: Daily or Weekly Program over products from MSG Network, SNY, and the YES Network.
“This Emmy award is a credit to the student-athletes and our entire athletics staff, we are truly blessed to get to work in such a great environment like college athletics,” Associate AD for Communications & Broadcasting Boone Enser said. “The broadcasting and communications group inside athletics is extremely creative and embraces collaboration like no other staff that I’ve worked with in my 30 years of storytelling. To be able to win this award against competition from such well-respected outlets is a testament to content being produced every day here at UB.”
The UB Football Insider: Training Camp Edition was also nominated in the Sports: Program Series category against competition from Pegula Sports and Entertainment, MSG Plus, the YES Network, and the New York Jets.
UB Football Insider: Training Camp Edition, which aired on WGRZ-TV, took an in-depth all-access look at the preseason preparation for the 2017 Buffalo football campaign. It followed around key players from the UB football team as they balanced practice, workouts and meetings in preparation for the season.
