BUFFALO, N.Y. — Buffalo State senior defenseman Brody Power (Halifax, NS/Upper Canada College) was named the SUNYAC Men’s Hockey Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
 
Power has maintained a 3.92 cumulative grade point average as an economics major and has earned Dean’s List honors in each of his seven semesters at the college, including achieving a perfect 4.0 on three occasions.  A three-year team captain for the Bengals, he was a second team All-SUNYAC selection as a junior.  In four seasons, he matched a school record for games played with 106 and concluded his career with 40 points on three goals and 37 assists.  Power is part of the winningest senior class in the program’s history with a four-year record of 62-34-11.
 
Power will graduate next month and plans to move to Toronto and acquire his Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and financial advisor certifications before enrolling in graduate school to pursue a master’s in business administration.
