LAST TIME OUT
• Monmouth scored three-straight goals with under 10 minutes left in regulation, as the Hawks defeated Canisius women’s lacrosse, 14-12 at the Demske Sports Complex on Sunday. The win snaps the Golden Griffins’ regular-season conference win-streak, which spanned 27 games.
• Canisius dug itself out of an early 4-1 deficit, scoring five of the remaining seven goals in the frame, as the two teams headed to halftime tied 6-6.
• It appeared the Griffs were within striking distance, as Jen Reininger cut the Monmouth advantage to 11-0, However the Hawks reeled off three-straight goals, as Caroline Corbliss tallied her 20th of the season with 9:14 remaining, and Allison Turturro and Cloe Novak, followed suit.
• Reininger and Jourdan Roemer notched late tallies in the final five minutes, but the team was unable to finish the comeback bid.
• Canisius got offense production from the usual suspects as Reininger tallied four goals and two assists for six points, while Roemer notched five goals.
• Allie Stewart and Rachel Ryan also scored markers, with two and one, respectively.
• For the Hawks, offense was spread around the lineup with Jenny Staines pacing the team with four points (one goal and three assists). Corbliss was one of three players to score three goals each, as Novak and Alexa Smith, joining her.
• Rebecca VanLaeken got the start once again for Canisius, as she made 10 saves and allowed 14 goals, and dropped to 6-6. Riley Brager got he win allowing 12 goals and making nine saves.
• Monmouth managed to outgun the Griffs, tallying 31 shots to Canisius’ 26. The Hawks edged Canisius in draw controls with a 15-13 mark, while the Blue and Gold tallied 20 ground balls and Monmouth recorded 16.

• The Golden Griffins continue their MAAC season on Wednesday, as the team hosts the Marist Red Foxes at the Demske Sports Complex. Game time is set for 4 p.m.
• Canisius enters the game with a 6-6 overall record and a 3-1 conference mark.
• The Blue and Gold had its regular season MAAC win streak snapped at 27 games, as Monmouth dealt the Griffs a 14-12 loss on Sunday.
• While The month of March was a good one for the Griffs as the team went 5-2, Canisius opened up April with a loss.
• Canisius has been led offensively by Jourdan Roemer, who comes into the contest with 51 points (35 goals and 16 assists).
• Roemer’s 51 points is ranked first in the conference, averaging 4.25 points per contest through 12 games.
• Not far behind is Jen Reininger who has tallied 33 goals and eight assists for 41 points.
• The Blue and Gold has also received goal scoring from Allie Stewart (15 goals), Lauren Smolenksy (seven goals and nine assists) and Bryar Cummings (10 goals and one assist)
• Marissa Malvaso and Miranda Malvaso have continued to get stronger with each game, as the freshmen have been strong complimentary pieces in their first year.

• Senior Allie Stewart is looking down the barrel of her final season as a member of the Blue and Gold but managed to reach a historic milestone.
• With her two goals against the Monmouth Hawks, Stewart reached 100 career points as a member of the Griffs.
• Stewart has now scored 79 goals and 21 assists.
• This season she has tallied 15 goals ranking third on the team.
• Her best season came in 2016, when she tallied 47 points. (33 goals and 14 assists).
