Canisius returns home to the Demske Sports Complex for a three-game MAAC series versus Saint Peter’s Apr. 7-8. First pitch for game one in Buffalo on Saturday is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. with game two beginning 30 minutes after the completion of the first contest with Sunday’s game set to start at 2:30 p.m.

GETTING STARTED
• With one hit on Wednesday, redshirt senior Liam Wilson has reached base in all 24 games this season and 26 times in his last 27 games dating back to last year.
• With his three hits on Wednesday, senior Ryan Stekl has now amassed 221 hits in his Canisius career, ranking him seventh all-time in school history, passing Brian Burton (’11).
• Stekl has tallied 306 total bases while in a Canisius uniform moving him ahead of Anthony Massicci (’16) and into sole possession of seventh place in the history of the program.
• Redshirt senior Christ Conley‘s on-base streak now stands at 15 straight games with his pinch hit double on Wednesday.
 
A LOOK BACK AT LAST GAME
• The Griffs were tripped up by Cornell in a mid-week extra innings game Wednesday by a score of 6-5 in 10 innings.
• Canisius sent 16 different batters to the plate and 17 pitchers saw action on the mound for both sides (nine for Canisius and eight for Cornell),
• In the game, Stekl led the charge with three hits in three at-bats with two walks and two runs scored.
• Sophomore Stephen Bennett also had contributions as he tallied two hits in four at-bats with three RBI and two runs scored.
• The Blue and Gold played its fourth extra innings game of the season. Canisius played five extra innings contests all of last season.

ABOUT THE PEACOCKS
• Saint Peter’s is 0-16 on the year, holding a 0-9 record on the road.
• Most recently the squad dropped a mid-week contest to Fordham, 29-1 on Apr. 4.
• The teams’ offense has been led by senior outfielder Nick Ciocco who is boasting a .254 batting average with 17 hits in 67 at-bats to go along with five RBI and three runs scores.   
• Senior Angel Perez and sophomore Cole Robbins also provide an offensive punch batting .197 and .145, respectively.

The Griffs return to action with a three-game weekend MAAC series versus Iona Apr. 14-15. First pitch from New Rochelle, N.Y., is set for noon.
