BUFFALO, N.Y. — Buffalo State senior Zach Nieminen (Ajax, ON/Notre Dame CSS) registered three points in a pair of games in his first weekend as a professional hockey player as a member of the Huntsville Havoc of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL).
Nieminen recorded a goal and an assists in Friday’s 3-2 overtime loss against Roanake and added an assists in his team’s 6-2 victory over Birmingham on Saturday.
Huntsville has four games remaining in the regular season and has already secured a berth in the SPHL playoffs, currently occupying the No. 3 seed.
