Mar 1st : Jack EP Release Show

Jack is an indie punk rock band harboring from singer songwriter Brittany Costa. Above all else, Jack seems to represent itself as an intuitive healing tool for both performer and listener. With pulsing raw lyrics and a sweet to salty guitar performance, Jack conveys to it’s audience a feeling of solidarity in the most vulnerable of places.

After releasing the EP “Resting Places” under Steakhouse Records in 2016, Brittany left her home in Brooklyn to finish writing the LP in Buffalo. Her debut full length, “Alchemical Rounds”, explores the symbiotic relationship of light and dark in our existence as humans – through getting lost – through looking into the mirror of our shadow self – through throwing oneself into the fire. It was recorded in New Bedford, MA with Kiril Orenstein (of Bears) on drums and bass, Costa on guitars and vocals. Kiril’s performance is undeniably a powerful and absolute essential element to Alchemical Rounds – creating the hefty and heavily rooted foundation with which Costa can safely and energetically place her thoughts.

Alchemical Rounds is due out March 1st with Sad Cactus Records and they are celebrating at Mohawk Place with a night of great alternative music. Saturn V, dreambeaches, & Slinky X will kick off the night starting at 8:00pm. So head down this Thursday, March 1st and spend that $10 to experience music right from our city’s heart.
