MACHIAS — A 19-year-old Machias man was charged Sunday with driving while impaired by drugs and moving from lane unsafely.
According to New York State Police, Troopers observed Austin E. Seavey swerve onto the shoulder of Maple Road. While interviewing Seavey, the odor of marijuana was present. Seavey failed SFST’s and was evaluated by a DRE.
Seavey was issued tickets returnable to the town of Machias.
