ALMOND — A 25-year-old Almond man was charged Tuesday with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop on County Road 2.

According to New York State Police, Troopers stopped Jamie L. Stuart for an equipment violation.  Upon interview of the driver, the odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected. Field sobriety tests were conducted which Stuart subsequently failed. He was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and transported to SP Amity for processing where he recorded a 0.10 percent BAC. He was released on tickets and is due in the Town of Almond Court on Monday.
