NEWFANE — A 27-year-old Buffalo man was charged Saturday with fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon and insufficient turn signal following a traffic stop.

According to New York State Police, Troopers stopped a vehicle on Lockport Olcott Road in the Town of Newfane for insufficient turn signal during a lane change. A strong odor of marijuana was emanating from the vehicle during the traffic stop which resulted in the vehicle being searched. No marijuana was found but a stun gun was located in the center console. Lawrence Kropp was placed under arrest and transported to the Lockport Barracks for processing.

Kropp was released on an appearance ticket for the town of Newfane Court at a later date.
