ALLEGANY — New York State Police charged Daniel R. Terrette, 31 of Shinglehouse, Pa. earlier today with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and petit larceny.

According the police report, Troopers responded to Walmart for a shoplifting complaint where Terrette was arrested for stealing $538.31 of merchandise. Following a search of his person subsequent to the arrest Terrette was found to be in possession of Suboxone and taken to SP Olean for processing.  He was released on appearance tickets returnable to Allegany Town Court at a later date and time.

While in State Police custody it was determined Terrette had an outstanding arrest warrant from Wellsville PD and he was turned over to them following processing.
