BURNS — A 52-year-old Canaseraga man was charged Thursday with third-degree assault, criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, third-degree criminal mischief and unlawful possessino of marijuana.

According to New York State Police an altercation between David L. Scott and another man led to Scott allegedly striking the other man causing injury and choking him. During the course of the investigation it was determined that Scott was in possession of marijuana. During the altercation, a door was damaged as well. Scott was transported to SP Amity for processing and was released on Appearance Ticket. He is due in the Town of Burns Court on Monday.
