BROCKPORT — Brockport used a 54-24 scoring advantage in the paint to pull away for a 90-75 victory over visiting Buffalo State tonight in a SUNYAC matchup.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Buffalo State, without injured leading scorer Mike Henry (Syracuse/West Genesee), was led by Sheldon Adams (Rochester/Bishop Kearney) with 20 points.
  • Bryan Harrell (Rochester/Early College) added 15 points, and Sir.Quintin Campbell(Tonawanda/Kenmore West) added 11 points and 10 rebounds.
  • The Bengals led for much of the early going of the first half, but Brockport used a late 11-1 run to create separation and take a 47-37 lead into halftime.
  • The Golden Eagles continued to pull away in the second half, leading by as many as 27, before coasting to the 15-point win.
  • The Golden Eagles shot 52 percent from the field, but just 49 percent from the free throw line (21 of 43).
  • Buffalo State shot just 34 percent from the floor and was 27 of 42 (64 percent) at the charity stripe.

  • Justin Summers and Michael O’Hara led Brockport with 16 and 15 points respectively.
