YORKSHIRE — A 35-year-old Yorkshire woman was charged Thursday with driving while ability impaired by drugs, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana after a traffic stop on State Route 16.

According to New York State Police, at approximately 3:10 p.m, Troopers observed Tiffany A. Dalton drive off State Route 16 into the ditch. Dalton was placed under arrest after failing SFST’s and transported to SP Machias for processing. Search of Dalton’s vehicle resulted in locating Clonazapam and marijuana.

Dalton was issued tickets returnable to the town of Yorkshire.
