ST. PAUL, Minn. — Nino Niederreiter scored a hat trick over the Buffalo Sabres as the Minnesota Wild won 6-2 at Xcel Energy Center.

Daniel Winnik, Mikko Koivu and Charlie Coyle also scored for Minnesota. The Sabres goals, both which came in the third period, were scored by Sam Reinhart and Evander Kane.

Robin Lehner made 11 saves through two periods for Buffalo. Chad Johnson made 10 saves in relief.

Sabres defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen was given a game misconduct at 10:16 of the first period for a hit to Koivu’s head.

The Sabres, who are now 10-21-9, take on the Jets in Winnipeg at 8 p.m. Friday.
