Amherst residents may obtain a 2018 ID card from the town’s Youth and Recreation Department starting Dec. 18.
The cards may be purchased for $5 at the department’s office at the Northtown Center, 1615 Amherst Manor Drive. Proof of residency and a new photo taken at the time of registration are required for new and renewal cards.
A resident ID card is required to register for any Youth and Recreation program.
The department also announced that winter/spring program registration is underway. Adult sports include pickleball, basketball, volleyball, floor hockey, tennis and badminton. There are also activities for individuals with disabilities.
