EAST AURORA – Army veteran and prosecutor Sean Bunny issued a statement calling on Rep. Collins to reject any tax legislation that increases taxes on middle-class families:
“Each proposal the House Republicans have revealed would slash taxes on the wealthy at the expense of middle class Western New Yorkers, who will face tax hikes.” said Bunny. “Rep. Collins should listen to NY State Sen. Leader John Flanagan (R), and vote against any tax plan that eliminates any part of the SALT deduction.” If tomorrow’s tax plan is like the current proposals, Speaker Ryan & Washington Republicans’ plan will hurt our community. “We need to relieve the tax burden on the middle class, but all the current proposals do the opposite. Rep. Collins needs to step up and show Western New Yorkers that their livelihoods are more important than tax cuts for him and his rich friends.”
