Joe Heins is the campaign manager of the three Republican candidates seeking office in Amherst. One running for the Town Supervisor position and the other two for the open seats on the Town Board.
Mr. Heins has said he will not let his candidates attend a Town of Amherst sponsored political event to be held in a Town facility.
He made this clear in a letter he sent to the Amherst Bee which published it on the front page. He didn’t allow his 3 candidates to attend the Open Government Forum on Oct.12 which was held on town property.
Mr. Heins, a bright attorney, should understand why this event “Coffee With the Candidates” is not listed on the Town of Amherst website. The website cannot be used for campaign related purposes. This type of campaign function violates the town policy therefore it cant be videotaped or live-streamed.
